Agricultural Battery Installation

Client Brief:

The client wanted to install as much solar capacity as possible on their agricultural building. During the initial consultation and subsequent application to the National Grid, it became clear that system size was constrained due to Distribution Network Operator (DNO) limitations.

Project Design & Final Configuration:

Over the last six months of operation, the system has:

Generated 5.65 MWh of clean energy
Reduced grid dependence by over 50%
Exported more than 2,000 kWh back to the grid
Avoided over 2 tons of coal, equivalent to 2.6 tons of CO₂ emissions prevented

Impact & Results:

Over the last six months of operation, the system has:

  • Generated 5.65 MWh of clean energy.
  • Reduced grid dependence by over 50%
  • Exported more than 2,000 kWh back to the grid.
  • Avoided over 2 tons of coal, equivalent to 2.6 tons of CO₂ emissions prevented.

This installation demonstrates how tailored solar solutions can maximise self-consumption, reduce energy costs, and contribute to sustainable energy goals, even within grid limitations.
