Solar Panels on outbuildings - Witney
Client Brief:
Our client wanted to install an EV charging point at home and generate their own renewable energy to charge their electric vehicle throughout the day, without increasing their energy costs.
Project Design & Final Configuration:
After the site survey and discussion with the customer, we designed two south-facing solar arrays, one on the garage and one on the main house to maximise energy generation.
The system includes:
- 14 Trina Vertex S+ 445W Full Black solar panels
- Huawei 6kW Hybrid Inverter
Impact & Results:
Over the past 12 months, the system has:
- Generated more than 5,000 kWh of clean energy.
- Reduced the homeowners’ reliance on the grid by 20%, lowering energy bills.
- Helped save over 2 tonnes of coal and avoid more than 2.5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
This system not only supports the client’s EV charging needs but also reduces their energy costs and environmental footprint, creating a sustainable, future-proof solution for the home.
