Flat Roof Solar Panel Installation - Moreton
Client Brief:
Our client wanted to reduce energy consumption and lower their energy costs, while optimising the use of available roof space.
This included making the most of their existing flat roof as well as a portion of their main house roof to get maximum energy generation without compromising the aesthetics or structure of the property.
Project Design & Final Configuration:
After assessing the property, we recommended a Van der Valk flat roof system installed directly on the existing rubber roof. This system requires no penetrations into the roof structure, using rubber mounts and ballast weights for stability. The configuration includes:
- 10 Trina Vertex S+ 445W Full Black solar panels
- Huawei 3.68kW inverter
Impact & Results:
- The system has already produced over 2,500 kWh of clean energy in less than a year.
- 80% of the energy is exported back to the grid, providing the client with a regular additional revenue stream.
- Installation has helped avoid over a ton of coal and CO₂ emissions, supporting both cost savings and environmental sustainability.
